The third workshop of the ESDI Project Group took place between April 5 and April 13th 2014 in Ulm and Aalen.
This time the four partner universities laid their focus on fund raising issues as well as on international project management and industrial networks. Sinje Miebach, Director of the International Office of the German Biberach University of Applied Sciences and invited speaker, shared her expertise on the development of international strategies in universities. Geert De Leepeleer, International Project Coordinator at the Faculty of Engineering Technology within the Technology Campus Ghent of the Belgian Catholic University of Leuven, and invited speaker too presented to the audience how internationalization of a university can be brought forward through international projects and the strategic use of co-operations.
Indeed, also the other presentations given by the four project universities emphasized financial management and systematic control of financial assets, financial planning, the completion of project proposals and the creation of industrial networks in an international context. Full Consensus was to be found in the project group about the important role of international projects in the process of internationalization.
