The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú is a community of teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, whose mission is the formation of qualified professionals with a high level of academic attainment. Founded in 1917, the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú is the oldest-established private higher educational institution in Peru.
Located on a 43-hectare campus and with a student population of more than 19,000, the University’s teachers, students and graduates are dedicated to the achievement of the highest standards in research and academic work, projecting their work towards the entire national community.
Cooperation agreements are essential tools to enable our university community members to develop activities with institutions and persons that share a sciences and technology development vocation in different fields worldwide. Our university has more than 250 agreements with educational institutions worldwide.
The PUCP promotes intensive student mobility through university networks or bilateral exchange programs. Students can participate in over 100 exchange programs and other mobility programs such as the Student Mobility Program of the Inter-University Development Center (CINDA), SMILE (Student Mobility in Latin American and Europe) carried out by the Magellan Network, the Academic Exchange and Mobility (PIMA) in coordination with the Latin American Organization for Education (OEI) from UNESCO, the Mobility Program of the Union of Latin American Universities (UDUAL) and the UMAP Program (University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific) official system of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC).
PUCP also has strong relationship with international cooperation agencies and networks such ALFA, PREFALC, ERASMUS MUNDUS, CLADEA, RAAP, FIUC, IAU, OUI, AUIP, COLUMBUS, EAIE, NAFSA, among others.
