The Ulm University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1960, offers study courses in Engineering Science, Computer Science and Digital Media. They have a broad approach to open up a wide range of professional possibilities for graduates.
Individual qualification is possible by selecting the elective courses, the topic of the study papers and thesis, foreign languages, studying abroad at foreign partner universities as well as the acquisition of additional skills. The success of the Ulm University of Applied Sciences is based on the cooperation with industry, especially demonstrated by the sponsoring of several professorship chairs and by the new established Automotive Centre and the Centre of Competence for Hydraulics.
These institutions and several institutes, including the Institute for Applied Research, give a lot of opportunities to perform joint projects with industrial and institutional partners in the areas of research and development. The students also benefit from these strong connections because of attractive places for internships and interesting thesis topics.
A refined continuing education program for working people and others rounds off the scope of the university. In total, the Ulm University of Applied Sciences is offering 18 undergraduate degree courses and 5 Master course programs for currently 3700 students.
Students from 50 partner universities worldwide have the opportunity to study in the German taught programs, do a practical training or a final project in one of the university laboratories or to choose one of the three English taught 3-month-programs which are offered in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
